Jolie's Daughter Faces Hip Operation

Angelina Jolie's adopted daughter Zahara could be forced to undergo corrective surgery on her hip.

The Tomb Raider star and her partner Brad Pitt are considering the operation, which could cure the 2-year-old's hip dysplasia, a congenital condition.

The condition means that the tot's thigh is connected to the hip improperly and may affect her ability to walk in the future.

According to reports, Zahara needs braces to help reset her limbs.

A source tells Star magazine, the couple "will do whatever it takes" to ensure their child is "happy and healthy."

The insider adds, "Brad and Angelina have talked with their pediatrician, who told them Zahara may need to have surgery."

Jolie and Pitt adopted Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005 and the little girl has already had a rough ride through life--when the actress adopted her, she was suffering from malnutrition and dehydration and medics also discovered the African tot had a rickets fracture in her arm. Zahara also had salmonella poisoning.

Pitt can't manage money, says Jolie

Angelina Jolie has claimed her husband Brad Pitt can't manage money, say reports.

The Tomb Raider actress reportedly told a friend over dinner that the Fight Club actor should stick to looking "pretty" and leave the finances to her.

A source told In Touch magazine that they overheard the actress saying: "I won't talk to Brad about this because you know how he is financially, which is stupid. Someone has to make the big decisions, though.

"He'll put money into things - but it's bizarre! It doesn't always make sense to me."

Jolie added: "The reality is, we're not a company together. Things should be separate. I think you know I make my own financial decisions. Brad knows there are times he should just be quiet and look pretty."

"It is what is inside a beautiful woman that's important, although she must be beautiful, like Angelina Jolie," The Sun quoted him, as telling Hello magazine.

Another requirement that is a must, Ronaldo insisted, was that the woman must be able to engage in a 'good conversation', and must make him laugh.

"I appreciate funny, kind, friendly women with good conversation. Laughing is one of my favourite pastimes," he said.

Brad Pitt, Edward Norton to spar again in 'State of Play'

Brad Pitt and Edward Norton are to star in their first film together since their appearance in the critically acclaimed "Fight Club," it was reported on Wednesday.


Pitt, who will next be seen in western "The Assassination of Jesse James," will play a journalist probing the murder of a prominent Washington politician's mistress, Daily Variety reported.

Norton will play the scandal-plagued Congressman at the center of the film, "State of Play." Shooting will begin when Norton completes work on a remake of the "The Incredible Hulk," Variety added.

Jolie: 'I'm desperate to have more children'

Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie has admitted she is desperate to add to the "rainbow" family she's acquired with partner Brad Pitt.

Jolie, 32, and Pitt, 43, have already adopted three children, Cambodian Maddox, Vietnamese Pax, and Ethiopian Zahara, as well as having one biological child, Shiloh.

And after placing her career on ice to raise the children, Jolie says she is keen to have more.

Jolie said: "You know, I always wanted to adopt kids. My mother used to say that I talked about it when I was a little girl. And I've always wanted a big family, and Brad's the same.



"We are enjoying the children together. So, as much as it's absolute chaos and sometimes we look at each other and think, 'My God! What have we done?', there are many more moments when I couldn't imagine any one of them not being here.

"They are such big personalities, and it's so exciting to watch them grow up. Brad and I would like more kids, but we're aware that right now we can give special time to each one of them every day, and we want to make sure we continue to do that."



Jolie told The Times that her and Pitt have been much more selective with the roles they've taken so that they can spend more time with the children.

She said: "I haven't worked for nine months, so I've been balancing kids and doing everything, and now I'm ready to work," Jolie said.

"When I work, Brad stays at home with the kids and vice versa. When we were in India, it was his job to entertain them and he loves that.

"So it's all about scheduling. Fortunately, they love travelling, so we go everywhere as a family. I kind of feel that our home is wherever we are."

When it comes to the pitfalls of celebrity, Brad Pitt knows a thing or two more than Jesse James, the 19th century outlaw he portrays in his new movie.

Pitt has found one key way to stay grounded while paparazzi and tabloid reporters swarm around: focus on his family.

In The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Pitt plays the legendary bandit who was gunned down by a member of his own gang. In the movie, James becomes too consumed by his notoriety - writers hyping his every move and fans and friends hanging on - to keep a level head.

Pitt said he could "understand the surface similarities" between James' life and his own as an international movie star but the A-list actor has found ways to keep his ego in check.

"It's just about knowing what is of value, about understanding value," Pitt said.

And what is "of value" to the actor?

"That I live according to my beliefs, that I just don't play someone I respect. In fact, usually I play people I don't respect," he laughed.

But then Pitt paused and reflected, "And my family. Family has redefined everything for me. Everything takes a back seat, and I find it very freeing."

Pitt, 43, soared to fame following his role as a roadside hunk in 1991's Thelma and Louise. He married and divorced former Friends star Jennifer Aniston and his current companion is Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie, with whom he is raising four children.

Pitt and Jolie attract massive media and fan attention. At the Venice film festival, a woman pushed past guards and tried to hug Pitt before being pulled away.

Pitt does his best to keep his personal life outside the media glare. But the attention and how he deals with it is relevant to his portrayal of James.

The slow-paced movie is not an old-style, shoot-'em-up Western. At more than two-and-half hours, it delves into James' personality as he grapples with the pop culture of the late 19th century that made the killer an idol.

"In some ways, (the movie) deals with the nature of celebrity and the trappings of

celebrity, getting lost behind that image and not knowing how to get around it," Pitt said. "Not only celebrity but the wanting to get next to celebrity - this idea that self-worth is connected to fame."

The other key figure in the film is Robert "Bob" Ford, played by Casey Affleck, who worshipped James as a youth, rides with the James gang as a man and eventually shoots his idol in the back.

Early reviews were mostly good and Pitt was given a best actor award from the Venice film festival.

"I was really surprised and remain surprised. I really didn't expect it." Pitt told reporters at a news conference at Toronto. "It's great fun."

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is scheduled to open in Australia on November 1.

Angelina Jolie gets virtually naked

She regularly tops Hollywood's best dressed list but Angelina Jolie has abandoned clothes all together for her latest movie.

In scenes sure to set pulses racing, the much lusted-after star emerges from a lake completely naked except for dripping gold liquid. For the adult fantasy film Beowulf, Jolie plays the mother of Grendel the monster, who is the father of all evil from Anglo-Saxon mythology.

In her transformation for the role, the actress appears to have regained her famous knock-out curves, perhaps with a little digital assistance.

Filmed in a photo-realistic animation style, the release has been described by the Los Angeles Times as a "hyper violent and highly sexualized tale". Jolie stars alongside British actors Ray Winston, who plays her evil son, and Sir Anthony Hopkins who plays King Hrothgar.



With Beowulf set to hit cinemas in the UK on November 16, the actress has already started work on her next project, the action movie Wanted.

The 32-year-old, who lost a considerable amount of weight following the death of her mother earlier this year, has welcomed the return to action films. She said: "It seemed like a good thing for me – and my family agreed – to have a reason to get strong and do something that was not serious."

Away from the big screen, Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt are preparing to add to their brood, which already includes Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 1.

When asked at the Venice Film Festival if they were ready for another child, Pitt answered: "Yeah, we're ready."
